About Dasra Philanthropy Week 2026, Mumbai:

As India advances toward its Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, progress will be shaped by how deeply the country listens to its communities and how intentionally philanthropy amplifies them. India for the World, World for India reflects this belief: that solutions grounded in lived experience and civil society leadership can accelerate India’s development and inspire beyond its borders. Dasra Philanthropy Week builds on this momentum by convening changemakers to elevate community insights, address systemic barriers, and drive collective action toward a more inclusive and future-ready India.

About Tech4Good Community

Since inception in 2018, Tech4Good Community (T4GC) is a women-led social change organisation, dedicated to strengthening the technology capabilities of locally rooted nonprofit organisations and social enterprises solving for development challenges across climate, disability, health, education and livelihoods in India. Through capacity building and tech implementation, they have been working towards bridging the gap between social impact organisations and the transformative power of technology. At the heart of T4GC is a simple belief: people solving social challenges deserve tools that truly support them and so they design systems that are rooted in community's local context and are built to last.

About The Session

As India’s social sector scales its ambition and reach, technology is no longer a support function but core infrastructure for listening to communities, strengthening decision making, and sustaining impact. Yet for many nonprofits, digital systems remain fragmented, underfunded, and treated as short term projects rather than long term capabilities.

This session, in partnership with Tech4Good Community, reframes technology from tools to capacity, exploring how open source, shared infrastructure, and thoughtful budgeting can help organizations build resilient, community owned digital systems. Through practical examples, myth busting conversations, and hands on planning, participants will learn how to invest in data, technology, and teams in ways that reduce vendor lock in, strengthen institutional learning. The session will equip nonprofit leaders with clear frameworks, confidence in open ecosystems, and actionable plans to fund and sustain digital systems that grow with their mission and communities.

What will participants walk away with?

Participants will leave with clearer decision-making frameworks, greater confidence in the open-source ecosystem, and a concrete budget plan to build and sustain their organisation’s digital systems over time.
