About Event

Join us for the Spring Reception hosted by the Master of Climate Solutions at UC Berkeley. This easygoing evening brings together students, faculty, alumni, and friends of the program to connect over light refreshments and celebrate both the season and the work ahead.

We will gather at Wellman Hall on the Berkeley campus for a relaxed reception filled with conversation, new connections, and a warm spring atmosphere. Whether you are part of the program or simply curious about the community behind it, you are warmly invited to stop by, mingle, and engage with others working across the climate space.

Please join Jason Kibbey, Executive Director of the MCS program, along with faculty directors Dara O’Rourke and James Sallee, for this informal gathering. We will also be joined by members of the MCS Advisory Board, including Joel Makower, Andrew Chapman, Lea Borkenhagen (Senior Vice President, EDF + Business), and Aron Cramer (President and CEO, BSR).

As the program continues to grow, we are intentionally creating spaces like this to strengthen connections between our students, faculty, and the broader climate and sustainability community. These moments of exchange are central to how ideas evolve, partnerships form, and leadership takes shape.

This reception also comes at an exciting milestone, as we prepare to graduate our inaugural cohort of MCS students. In the midst of a demanding semester and deep into their capstone work, students will be eager to share what they are building, exploring, and learning, bringing energy and insight to the evening.

Light refreshments and drinks will be served. We hope you can join us.
