About Event

RSVP deadline is September 19 (Friday) at 3 PM. Registrations after this time are not guaranteed admission.

Air pollution is the leading environmental cause of mortality, resulting in over 8 million deaths worldwide, and shortening the average person’s lifespan by 1.8 years. Climate change and air quality are inextricably linked; many of the drivers of air pollution are also sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Thus, air pollution action also means climate action.

This event is designed to educate attendees on accessing open data and tools available for tracking climate and air quality data from Climate TRACE and OpenAQ, respectively. Members of Climate TRACE and OpenAQ user communities will also share their stories and use cases. Each session will be followed by a Q&A period, allowing for direct engagement with the presenters. The event will also have open networking sessions, providing an opportunity for attendees to connect and share insights.

Light refreshments will be provided. Space is limited.

This event is kindly hosted by our partner Splunk, a Cisco company.

About Climate TRACE: Climate TRACE (https://climatetrace.org/) is a non-profit coalition of organizations building a timely, open, and accessible inventory of exactly where greenhouse gas emissions are coming from. We make meaningful climate action faster and easier by harnessing technology to track greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions with unprecedented detail and speed, delivering information that is relevant to all parties working to achieve net-zero global emissions.

About OpenAQ: OpenAQ (https://openaq.org/) is the world’s largest open-source, open-access air quality data platform, aggregating and harmonizing air quality data on a one-stop shop platform so that anyone concerned about air quality has unfettered access to the data they need to analyze, communicate and advocate for clean air. By providing universal access to air quality data, OpenAQ empowers a global community of changemakers to solve air inequality–the unequal access to clean air.
