Open Lab: Feb 26, 2025
Hey everyone!
LAST WEEK: Brigitte turned us all into human pretzels: we paired up, connected hands, and got twisted! 🥨
One person played "stand mixer" (staying put) while the other went full "dough hook" (twirling around) without letting go.
Method: Apply gentle pressure to 'see' each other's center and weight, and explore all possible pathways in a pretzel-making improv. Some questions that came up along the way:
Can you lead and follow at the same time?
How do you navigate space without breaking the connection?
With three people: what makes us work as separate puzzle pieces vs becoming one flowing three-headed creature?
How does closing your eyes shift the experience?
THIS WEEK: Remember our sheet metal installation with a transducer, contact mic, and feedback loop that turns your movements into sound? It's back with refined acoustics! Come be a dancing musician or a musical mover.
