Stablecoin Summit
About the Event
Stablecoins stopped being a crypto product some time ago. They are savings, salaries and supplier payments in high-inflation economies, and settlement for a growing share of global trade. What is still open is where they live, who issues them, who regulates them, and which rails they run on for the next decade.
On Sunday 25 October, the morning after the Plan ₿ Forum closes, we are bringing that question to Lugano.
The Stablecoin Summit is a single morning, deliberately short and deliberately dense: four hours, no filler. Issuers, lenders, liquidity providers and the people building the distribution layer, in one room on the top floor of the LAC with the lake on three sides.
Doors open at 09:30. The programme runs from 10:00 to 14:00, and lunch follows — which, if the last few years of this industry are anything to go by, is where the conversations that matter actually happen.
Hosted by the RGB Protocol Association.
What We'll Discuss
Why Bitcoin Needs Stablecoins
Bitcoin as the settlement asset, digital dollars as the unit of account people actually live in, and why the two reinforce each other rather than compete.
Where the Demand Comes From
Brazil, Turkey, Argentina, Nigeria. The markets where digital dollars are not a trade but a way to hold value, and what that means for issuance, distribution and compliance.
Credit and Collateral
Lending denominated in digital dollars: who lends, against what collateral, on what terms, and how a credit market forms on top of a payment rail.
Distribution and Infrastructure
Where digital dollars actually live and how they reach users. Issuance layers, interoperability, custody, and the trade-offs between the chains competing to carry them.
Speakers
The full programme and speaker lineup will be announced in the coming weeks.

The room
LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, Sala 1. Top floor, floor-to-ceiling glass on three sides, the lake and Monte Brè in front of you for the whole morning. Capacity is deliberately capped so the room stays a conversation rather than an audience.
Location
Lugano, Switzerland. A small city that has become one of the few places in Europe where Bitcoin, regulated finance and public administration are actually in the same room — and, for one weekend in October, where most of the industry happens to be.
Whether you issue digital dollars, lend against them, move them, build the rails they run on, or write the rules they operate under, the Stablecoin Summit is a chance to spend a morning with the people deciding what comes next.
