What is Build in Public at muShanghai
Build in Public is a 28-day shared discipline that runs across the whole muShanghai program. Participants post and document what they're building on a weekly basis. The sharing itself is valued content.
To participate, you don't need to have a well-rounded product, nor physically be here in Shanghai. You don't even need to have any technical background. The only requirement is that you feel like building something and you are willing to share it.
Who can join
"I don't have a real product yet — can I join?" Yes. Exploration is the point.
"My product is already published — can I join?" Yes. Growth is its own story.
"I am not a software engineer — can I join?" Of course! No restriction on medium of creation.
The bar isn't what you have already done. It's what you are or about to be working on.
How to participate (2 steps)
Step 1 — Register and participate weekly
Remember to register for every week's Build in Public by the end of Monday using the following form.

By the end of Friday 23:59: Submit a ≤3-min video both on social media and through the link below
The following Monday: Cross-platform heat score ranking for the week will be posted

1 Like / 1 bookmark = 1 point
1 repost = 2 points
1 reply = 3 points
Step 2 — Bring more friends! Send this page to anyone you know who's building something. No pitch needed — just "I think this is for you."
What you will get
Reach. Strong notes will get at least 100,000+ impressions on RedNote, with a chance to be featured at the top of the official topic page or reposted by the official 科技薯 account.
Investor attention. Domestic and international investors will be with us for the entire month, looking for potential talents who could actually build, ship, and tell the story.
Peer support. In-depth discussion will be held every Wednesday with participants of Building in Public. The discussion will be held in person at Alibaba Center, Hongqiao, and will broadcast online.
A real public record. The Builder Cards, progress posts, and demo videos accumulated during the four weeks are precious memories of what you achieved along the journey.

为什么做这件事
我们习惯的方式是——做好了再说。发布时发产品，融资时发通稿，出了成果再告诉别人。过程是私下的，结果才是公开的。
Build in Public 反过来——把过程本身公开。卡住了说，改方向了说，用户说不对也说。不等做好，做着就说。
Buildspace 做过类似的项目，12,000 人参与、零推广费，靠每天真实的进展帖，在 Twitter 上积累了数百万曝光。传播力来自真实。
在中文世界，这种内容几乎不存在。在小红书上，「我在 muShanghai 用四周做出了一个 AI 产品」这样的内容，几乎没有竞争对手。但我们想要的不只是在中文世界内部发生——muShanghai Build in Public 同时在小红书和 X 上发布，让中国的创造力也走出去，被看见。
Build in Public 是什么
一个贯穿 muShanghai 28 天的公开机制。所有参与者每周公开记录在做的事，把过程变成内容。
不需要现成的产品，不需要在上海现场，不需要是技术背景。只需要你正在做一件事，并且愿意把它公开出来。
谁可以参与
「我没有成型的产品，可以参与吗？」 可以。我们想看到探索的过程。
「我的产品已经上线了，可以参与吗？」 可以。增长本身就很有趣。
「我不是技术人员，可以参与吗？」 可以。创作的媒介无拘无束。
门槛不是「你已经做了什么」，而是「你正在做什么，或打算开始做什么」。
怎么参与（两步）
第一步：每周参与，每周更新
首先，每周一晚之前通过飞书表单报名，分享你在做的事。
接下来就可以正式发帖啦！ 带上话题 #muShanghai #BuildinPublic，在小红书上 @muShanghai，在X 上 @the_mu，开始你的一周：
每周周中： 发出本周的 Builder 宣言
周五 23:59 前： 在小红书或X上提交 3 分钟以内的视频，并在每周反馈表内附上链接，告诉大家你做了什么
次周周一： 我们会统计双平台的热度，在次周周一晚上发布！
第二步：呼朋唤友 把这个页面发给一个正在做东西的朋友。不用解释太多，就说一句「我觉得这件事适合你」。
参与之后，你会得到什么
曝光。 相关笔记最低 10 万曝光支持，优质笔记有机会在官方话题页前排展示，被科技薯官方翻牌。
投资人的注意。 整个月有很多国内外投资人参加，都在找能做、能说、能冲的人。
