About Event

Montreal builders, AI explorers, product people — we're back!

After an energizing event last month, GenAI Montreal is keeping the momentum going with something special. This time again, we’re teaming up with The AI Collective to bring you a fresh dose of real talk, real tools, and real results in the world of GenAI.

Let’s be honest — the AI space is crowded. Tools are everywhere. Claims are loud. But what actually works?

🎤 This October 22, join us to hear from two experts who are using AI to create real impact:

Thomas Meimoun – Team Lead Data Science @ BRP

Thomas Meimoun is a Team Lead Data Scientist at BRP in Montréal, where he drives the development of AI, machine learning, and analytics solutions. With nearly seven years of experience across France and Canada, his career spans finance, consulting, and independent ML engineering. Since relocating to Montréal in 2023, Thomas has led efforts to scale AI/ML workflows and bring advanced models into production.

Passionate about innovation, he enjoys exchanging ideas on generative AI, best practices, and real-world applications.

At BRP, we’ve harnessed the power of large language models to build two impactful AI solutions. The first is an LLM-driven analytics platform that processes vast internal and external data streams, enabling teams to surface insights quickly, automate repetitive tasks, and scale data-driven decision-making across a global workforce of over 15,000 employees. The second is an LLM-powered chatbot designed to improve vehicle quality by consolidating feedback from service reports, sensor data, and customer comments. This tool transforms complex, high-volume information into actionable recommendations, helping engineers and product teams resolve issues faster and enhance the overal experience.

Topic:

Project 1 – Leveraging LLMs for Scalable Analytics At BRP, we built an LLM-powered analytics platform to process vast volumes of internal and external data. This solution enables teams to surface insights faster, automate repetitive analysis, and make informed decisions at scale, showcasing how generative AI can drive tangible impact across a global organization of 15,000+ employees.

Project 2 – Chatbot for Quality Intelligence We developed an LLM-powered chatbot that integrates feedback from service reports, sensor data, and user comments to enhance product quality. By converting complex, high-volume information into clear, actionable insights, the tool supports engineers and product teams in identifying issues faster and improving overall performance.

Madiagne Diagne -  Chief Solution Architect - AI Lover

Chief Solutions Architect at National Bank of Canada, in the Wealth Management sector, with over 17 years of experience in software engineering and enterprise architecture.

He began his career as a developer, later becoming a tech lead, and eventually moving into architecture. After a period at Desjardins, he joined NBC where he now leads major technology transformation initiatives.

An AWS Solutions Architect Associate certified professional, Madiagne is currently leading the migration of critical systems to the cloud and supporting the adoption of innovative AI-powered solutions. Passionate about modern architecture practices, he serves as a catalyst for the adoption of approaches such as microservices, event-driven ecosystems, and more recently, Agentic AI

He is also part of the Wealth Management Future Architects coaching program where he mentors upcoming architects and supports their growth in both technology and leadership.

Topic:

AgenticAI and Specification Driven Design (SDD) for architecture, highlighting how Specification Driven Design (SDD) and agentic approaches are reshaping the architect’s role in the AI era.
