Australian Boston Business Assocation (ABBA) Monthly Meetup
Join the Australian Boston Business Association (ABBA) for our upcoming monthly networking event in partnership with UNSW Founders!
Connect with Australian-connected professionals and business leaders to expand your network, exchange insights, and celebrate the local Australian business presence.
What to Expect
UNSW Founders is bringing 12 Australian health and med tech startups to Boston this November to connect with the city's leading life sciences and health care ecosystem.
Meet these innovative startups:
1. RNAFold.AI: A CRO-in-the-loop asset factory using AI to design RNA targeting assets (ASOs and small molecules) against validated-but undruggable targets, fusing multi-modal RNA data with rapid CRO-generated wet-lab data to iterate far faster and cheaper than traditional screening.
2. GeneyBio: Develops an automated cell culture and media exchange platform. Its scalable bioreactor is designed to simplify process development and manufacturing, reduce costs and make cell and gene therapies more accessible.
3. CellSync: A high-throughput, non-viral platform for cell engineering that enables rapid intracellular delivery while maintaining high cell viability, with an initial focus on engineering immune cells for next-gen cell therapies like CAR-T.
4. Media City Scientific : Makes animal free cell culture easy. GECKO CellGrip plates eliminate the need for adhesion protein pre-coating in serum-free adherent cell culture, slashing costs by over 90%
5. AttoQuest: An ultracompact single-molecule microscope. AttoBright, a platform that enables advanced research and rapid diagnostic applications, including nanoparticle characterisation, antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
6. Preview Health: A life-sciences company building the missing molecular layer in brain health. From a routine blood draw, thousands of molecular features reveal biological subgroups for biopharma and provide practitioners with a repeatable reading of brain biology that can be followed over time.
7. Roam Tech: Develops JUNO, the first tankless, handheld continuous-flow oxygen device, built to get patients with COPD and other chronic lung diseases out of the hospital and back to active, everyday life at 4x lower cost.
8. Arelis: A non-invasive urine test uses infrared spectroscopy and AI to deliver fast, accurate risk results for women’s health, starting with endometriosis.
9. 23 Strands: Uses medical and whole genome sequencing data and AI to advance precision medicine in women's and reproductive health, delivering an improved approach for the 75% of women failing standard care across IVF, endometriosis, PMOS, and other complex conditions.
10. Resonait: Depression is still treated by trial and error. Resonait's Neuralytics, with origins at Oxford University, analyses EEG recorded during TMS to predict which patients will respond, hence, reach effective care sooner. For payers, this means shorter and less costly mental health claims.
11. Gheorg: Provides therapy support for children and care providers in a human-in-the-loop, gamified app for kids 4-12 using AI, evidence-based psychologies, friendly characters, interactive activities and real-time monitoring for continuous care delivery and user experience.
12. Automi: A software that expedites time-to-market for regulated medical products by automating the creation of 100% compliant, audit-ready artwork and documentation.
13. VueMotion: Transforms smartphone video into lab-grade, actionable biomechanics, helping improve performance and manage injury risk. Trusted by professional sports teams worldwide, a scientifically validated platform makes movement intelligence accessible at scale.
Connect. Collaborate. Grow.
All Australian-connected professionals and business leaders are welcome to attend!
