Ogi Kavazovic on medically integrated dispensing and bringing speciality pharmacy into provider practices
Speciality pharmacy is definitionally more expensive and complicated than retail pharmacy, so it seems logical that situating those speciality pharmacy services in an oncologist’s or rheumatologist’s office would be beneficial for patients, their families, and payers who all have an interest in making sure the therapy regimen is completed as prescribed.
But nothing in the world of pharmacy in the US is ever simple with conflicting interests from payers and manufacturers along side logistical and operational challenges of implementing medically integrated dispensing. Co-founder and CEO Ogi Kavazovic is joining us for a discussion on the difference a speciality pharmacy in a clinic can make and how his company House Rx is helping clinics navigate the tricky dynamics between drug manufacturers and PBMs.
