QRI Presents: Reverse Engineering DMT Phenomenology with Non-Linear Optics
This event will be divided into two parts: what we have done so far, and what we're intending to do in the near future. The first half will consist on presentations and group activities to explain the core outputs of QRI's research in the last couple of years pertaining to mapping the state-space of consciousness (with an emphasis on psychedelic states - see heart.qri.org for a preview). The second half will be about charting the next steps: how in 2026 we plan to run the key experiments and exploratory research needed to reverse engineer the medium of computation of the mind. In particular, we will discuss our plans for a legal psychedelic retreat in Q2 of 2026 where mathematicians, physicists, meditators, and visual artists will come together to determine whether non-linear optics play a role in DMT phenomenology.
