Bitcoin Masterminds

​Join us for Bitcoin Masterminds #3, where we will dive deep into the technical elements of the network. For our third meeting, we will discuss chapter 3 of “Mastering Bitcoin” by Andreas Antonopolous.

The book’s subtitle is “Programming the Open Blockchain,” so be prepared for highly technical discussions. That being said, even if you don’t consider yourself technical right now, as long as you feel confident that you can read and at least partially understand each chapter prior to said chapter’s discussion session, you are welcome to join us.

​The book consists of 12 chapters, and the meetup will have a 3 week cadence. Thus, it will take about 36 weeks to go through the entire book. We may extend the meetup longer if there’s continued interest in the material and discussions that take place.

​The hosts will not necessarily be 'teachers', but we will kick off each session and keep the discussion on topic. We will expect that each participant actually reads the relevant chapter before each session and comes with questions, concerns, or something to add to the discussion. There’s also an expectation that each participant has their own copy of Mastering Bitcoin, whether downloaded from the GitHub (https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook) or purchased a hard copy(https://www.amazon.ca/Mastering-Bitcoin-Programming-Open-Blockchain/dp/1098150090/).

​FUNK closes at 4PM on Saturdays, so feel free to purchase a beverage or snacks upon arrival. We will remain in the cafe until after closing and we will lock the doors behind us.
