Originally from Timișoara, Cosmin graduated from Grigore Moisil High School and studied at Politehnica University Timișoara before pursuing his PhD at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
With a background in program transformation, static analysis, and automated software engineering, Cosmin co-founded Asymptotic, a deep-tech startup developing an AI-powered formal verification platform to make software verification more scalable and accessible.
