Meet engineers, startup founders, and digital nomads from Fukuoka, Taiwan, and the international community gathering for Colive Fukuoka. This evening combines practical peer learning with relaxed networking: explore how to build products for global users, collaborate in distributed teams, and grow an international career. Leave with ideas you can try and people you can keep learning with.
Bring a product you are building, a teamwork challenge, or a career question. From 18:30 to 19:30, join World Cafe-style small-group discussions, with all topic tables talking in parallel and participants rotating between them. Everyone is invited to share experiences, ask questions, and learn from peers. Newcomers and aspiring engineers are welcome.
What’s happening
World Cafe: three tables, shared learning
Spend the first hour in conversations around three themes. Each table uses a practical question to get everyone involved, inviting examples, challenges, and approaches that participants have tried.
Digital Products
How do you validate a problem across markets, learn from global users, and decide what to build next? Share a product decision or experiment and compare what worked.
Distributed Teamwork
How do you keep work moving across time zones and cultures? Compare async communication, documentation, handoffs, and ways to build trust.
International Careers
How do you find opportunities and grow across countries? Discuss portfolios, cross-cultural collaboration, and lessons from working with international teams.
How the rotations work
Rotate between the three topic tables, share experiences, and build on ideas from earlier groups. Every table has an active discussion. Wrap up with practical takeaways to try in your product, team, or career.
Meet engineers, founders & nomads
Continue the conversations through small-group introductions, networking bingo, and open networking. Find peers facing similar challenges, exchange feedback, and make connections that can continue beyond the evening.

Cross-cultural exchange
A lighthearted Taiwan Quiz offers a way to learn about Taiwanese culture, everyday life, and digital nomad experiences while getting to know people from different backgrounds. No Taiwan expertise needed.
Taiwanese food & informal conversation
Taiwanese food, bubble tea, and snacks are planned as a social part of the evening. The menu and catering arrangements remain tentative and depend on the final venue. At Engineer Cafe, food and drinks would be limited to permitted areas and arrangements agreed with the venue.

All times are Japan Standard Time (JST, UTC+9). The schedule is provisional. If Engineer Cafe is confirmed, the programme will be adjusted to allow all cleanup and room restoration to finish by 21:30.
From Taiwan to Fukuoka
Taiwan Digital Night has brought together digital nomads, technology and startup communities, designers, and creators in Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Taitung. The Fukuoka edition connects engineers with peers across the startup and nomad communities through practical table discussions, shared learning, and cross-cultural exchange.
