​Curious about open source but not sure where to begin? Join us for a beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to make your very first pull request(PR)—from finding a beginner-friendly issue to committing your changes and opening a PR on GitHub.

​Open source is how developers around the world collaborate, learn, and build impactful tools together. Contributing helps you gain real-world experience, improve your Git skills, build a visible portfolio, and connect with a global community.

​At this meetup, we’ll be contributing to skrub, a Python library designed to make data preprocessing simpler and more efficient—perfect for first-time contributors.

​What to expect:

• ​A simple, step-by-step walkthrough of the contribution process

• ​Hands-on support (fork, branch, commit, pull request)

• ​A friendly, low-pressure environment with plenty of help

​Whether you're new to coding, early in your Python journey, or just new to open source, you’re welcome. Bring your laptop, your curiosity, and your “I can totally do this” energy.
