Film Screening & Conversation with La Marea, Carmen Triana & Daniela Castro
Join us for an intimate evening at the WLP Store in Berlin as we present two poetic short films created around La Marea Jewelry, directed by photographer and filmmaker Carmen Triana.
The films: Two Enchanted Sirens and Norte Sur.
In a space between shadow and light, two characters embark on an intimate journey through the phases of love, from the charged mystery of a first glance to the silent rise of conflict and doubt. Across two minutes of stylized imagery, where hands and gestures speak louder than words, a whispered voice-over unveils the hidden truths of connection. A minimalist, visceral portrait of the intensity and fragility of human intimacy.
Following the screening, Carmen Triana, photographer & film maker, Daniela Castro, writer, and Natalia Mustafa, founder of La Marea, will share insights into the creative vision, symbolism, and collaborative process behind the works.
Guests will also have the opportunity to discover La Marea’s luminous handcrafted glass jewelry, enjoy a festive drink, and connect with our community.
About La Marea:
La Marea was founded by Natalia Mustafá and Sofía Restrepo in 2016 after a trip to Chocó, Colombia. The contemporary jewelry brand breaks traditional standards by using seashells, stones, and other elements from beaches worldwide. Each collection represents either a specific beach or a concept related to the vast ocean capturing the organic textures of materials. La Marea celebrates imperfection, reflecting the strength and true beauty of the sea. The jewelry embodies a feminine strength that is not necessarily delicate but can be strong, rough, natural, and irregular.
About White Label Project:
