Civic AI Canada Executive Director Aziza F. Mohammed will lead a community consultation and Citizen Toolkit training session. The workshop will begin with an introduction to neglected issues in AI governance and safety, followed by a fishbowl exercise. After that, if people need to leave, they can head back to work; otherwise, they are welcome to stay for an introduction to the Civic AI Canada Citizen Toolkit. Attendees will leave equipped to ask the right questions about AI governance, an increased understanding of how AI might impact them, and with the skills required to engage with elected officials in a meaningful way.
