Young Creatives Exhibiton
The Young Creatives Exhibition brings together work by Detroit artists alongside a special presentation of student work (Boys & Girls Club of Greater Detroit) created through a hands-on experience led by those same artists as teaching artists.
After experiencing works from the Detroit Institute of Arts through the DIA Inside|Out installations at Detroit Design District, young people were invited to learn directly from Detroit artists, respond to what they saw, reinterpret it through their own perspective, and create original work of their own.
Presented side by side, the exhibition celebrates the connection between Detroit’s creative community and the next generation of artists — and the magic that can happen when young people are given the opportunity, tools, and encouragement to see themselves as creators.
At the heart of it is a simple belief: all young people are artists.
