About Event

This invitation-only session convenes a diverse group of changemakers to confront a pivotal challenge: before we rebuild or reinvent U.S. engagement in global conservation, we must ask the right questions.

This workshop will create space for honest debate and collective reflection on the foundational choices facing the U.S. in this moment of institutional disruption. What constituencies must be mobilized to build durable power? Where should global conservation leadership be housed? How can funding reach frontline stewards more directly and equitably? What principles should guide the next generation of U.S. engagement?

Our goal will not be to produce answers today, but to surface, sharpen, and prioritize the questions that matter most. By identifying the strategic choices that will shape the next decade, this session will lay the groundwork for stronger collaboration and bolder experimentation across the field.

Join us to help name what needs to be reimagined before it’s reassembled by default.

This is a working session for individuals with a deep understanding of foreign assistance, what worked, what didn't and what could be done better. Space is intentionally limited to ensure productive dialogue.

Note: The event duration includes a 1hr lunch break. We encourage participants to get lunch from the restaurants available at Pier 57.
