About Event

After months of mentorship, workshops and hands-on support, the VITAL Accelerator cohort is ready to take the stage. Join us as teams pitch the innovations they've advanced through the program, from early-stage research to solutions built to strengthen public health preparedness.

Hear from founders working on the future of health security, ask your questions, and cast your vote to help choose the pitch prize winners.

What to expect
• Live pitches from the VITAL Accelerator cohort
• Q&A with the teams behind each innovation
• Audience voting to help select the pitch prize winners
• Networking with innovators, investors, industry leaders and members of the health security ecosystem

Who should attend
Investors, industry partners, researchers, government and public health stakeholders, and anyone interested in the next generation of health security innovation.

Agenda

  • 8:30 AM : Breakfast

  • 9:00 AM: Pitch Showcase

  • 11:00 AM: Winners Announced

Pitching Startups

Cell BioEngines develops off-the-shelf allogeneic cell therapies by chemically reprogramming stem cell fate and function to treat serious and currently incurable diseases.

Epigenter develops a new type of therapeutic protein designed to epigenetically unlock the body's silenced potential, creating new approaches to treating chronic and intractable diseases with high unmet need.

Fletcher Biosciences develops precision immunotherapies that selectively target disease-associated immune cells. The company's approach is designed to enable highly specific treatments with improved safety profiles.

InflammaSense builds the VITALx-patch, a wearable platform that records Autonomic Neurography, or ANG, as a new vital sign. By transmitting disease severity to clinicians with millisecond precision, the technology aims to improve therapeutic efficacy.

Monticone Lab at Louisiana State University transforms immunosuppression research into next-generation immunotherapeutics.

New Platelet Company develops manufactured universal platelets designed to expand access to lifesaving blood components. Its approach could strengthen hospital surge capacity, reduce shortages, and support emergency, disaster, and routine healthcare needs.

Pavi Health reimagines precision medicine for severe infections and sepsis, providing critical information to improve clinical outcomes and reduce costs.

Spectre Bio develops genome-inactivated bacterial-like particles, or BLiPs, that train mucosal innate immunity against incoming pathogens, which can be deployable anytime and anywhere.

The Yin Lab at University of Texas at Austin is an immunoengineering lab that develops next-generation nanoparticle adjuvants to enable more effective vaccines against influenza, coronaviruses, and filoviruses.

BARDA Accelerator Network (BAN)

Established by the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), part of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the BARDA Accelerator Network (BAN) fosters the growth of health security innovation ecosystems globally and accelerates the development and commercialization of next-generation health security solutions.

The BAN, comprised of 5 hubs, will serve as a global network supporting early-stage companies from around the world developing next-generation medical countermeasures (MCMs). The Hubs are focused on Diagnostics/Medical Devices, Therapeutics/Vaccines, Digital Health Tools, Special Populations, and Enabling Technologies.

Vaccine Innovation and Therapeutics Accelerator Launchpad (VITAL)

VITAL is a BARDA Accelerator Network (BAN) Hub supporting the development and acceleration of next-generation therapeutic and vaccine platforms and technologies to promote health security. It is led by Start2 Group in partnership with Advise Connect Inspire (ACI) and BioInnovation Labs (BioLabs). VITAL provides a global innovation network to enable impactful collaborations between the U.S. and other health security communities and their innovation ecosystems around the world.
