Inside Blue Hill Observatory: Learning from the Data

​Join Krista Fincke, Director of Education, for a hands-on session focused on how we teach and learn climate science through real data.

​This experience is designed to make weather and climate accessible—exploring how observations become learning opportunities, how students engage with real-world data, and how educators can bring these concepts into the classroom. Krista will highlight the approaches and tools used at Blue Hill Observatory to build understanding, curiosity, and STEM skills.

​From the summit, take in sweeping views of the Boston skyline—among the best vantage points in the region—and see how geography, elevation, and exposure shape the data we collect.

​Visitors are also welcome to explore the Observatory at their own pace—open from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
