Nauti: All Things Naughty and Nautical
Art Again presents, for our third anniversary show — Nauti: All Things Naughty and Nautical.
Opening hours:
22 August – 30 August: 11 AM – 7 PM
Sundays we close at 5 PM
Please register your attendance.
We'd love to see you at NAUTI.
Featuring over 80 works by Singaporean pioneers from 16 private collections, these works have spent years in private hands, rarely seen. For a short while, they're all in one place. Several of the works displayed are by artists held in Singapore's national collection.
This is a rare chance to acquire a piece of our art history, whether you're buying your first work or adding to an existing collection. See you there!
More about the exhibition:
NAUTI begins with something we've observed over three years of running Art Again. Among the artworks that keep landing on our marketplace, particularly those from the second half of the twentieth century in Singapore, two subjects turn up again and again: (1) bumboats, rivers, and quays (the nautical), and (2) the body, in nude studies, bathers, and figure work (the 'naughty'). And in the homes of collectors, they sit very differently. The first hangs proudly where everyone can see it. The second, when there is one, tends to live somewhere quieter.
Set side by side for the first time, NAUTI reveals a calibration: between what artists were expected to paint and what they kept returning to, between the subjects celebrated in public and the ones kept a little more private, between the images that feel familiar to us now and the ones that still make us look twice.

About Art Again
Founded in 2023 by Milon and Chingyi, Art Again is a Singapore-based marketplace for buying and selling pre-owned art. We work directly with private collectors, bringing transparency and accessibility to a market that has historically had very little of either.
Now in our third year, we have built something we're proud of: a growing community of collectors, artists and cultural brands across Singapore and beyond.
Great art deserves to change hands again and again. Thank you for being part of this. More information about Art Again here.
