flashcube: explore (Saturday)

​flashcube is the East-side activation throughout Design Week Calgary found at The Confluence. Come visit groundcubed landscape architects and designers working in the wild at our pop-up outdoor studio during the day from the Thursday to Saturday. We're excited for casual conversation, art installations, modular furniture testing, dog pets and more. On Friday night, we'll shift from studio office hours to studio 'party' hours with a one-night music festival featuring all local bands, food and bevvies. Be there or be... cube!

​Accessibility Note: The venue offers ample parking and is accessible via paved pathways from Inglewood and the RiverWalk. Attendees arriving by vehicle should note that active construction along 9 Ave SE may affect drivability and access routes during Design Week. The indoor spaces are fully accessible, featuring open layouts, ramps, wheelchair-accessible doors, and elevator access to the second floor. The outdoor event grounds, where both flashcube activations are primarily hosted, are accessible via ramps distributed around the building perimeter. Attendees attending the Friday evening festival should note that standing-room conditions and amplified live music may present additional sensory considerations. Attendees with specific accessibility needs are encouraged to contact the organizers in advance.
