Inner City Public Art Walk
Join us this First Thursdays for a free public art walking tour through Cape Town’s Inner City with Cameron Peters from Cape Town Heritage Tours and Cape Town Free Walking Tours.
Together, we’ll wander from the new Bree Street Gallery (Outdoor public art gallery), through the Inner City down to St Georges Mall and onto the Strand Street Crossing, slowing down to notice the murals, sculptures, historic facades and small details that tell the layered stories of the city.
The walk will start at the Bree Street Gallery and end on St George’s Mall at the Kiosk of Curiosities.
Mission for Inner City Cape Town have created this new public art experience and storytelling point in the heart of the Inner City. The Kiosk of Curiosities is a tiny gallery on the street: part installation, part urban landmark and a playful invitation to experience different perspectives.
The tour is free to join and open to all, however there is limited space.
Best place to park is at Riebeeck Square for those needing to park.
Remember to bring comfy shoes and remain curious.
