Nomad Sikkim Residency Program
We’re inviting applications for the first-ever Nomad Sikkim Residency Program, a 7-day immersive experience for 20 sharp minds from across domains: product managers, engineers, founders, consultants, crypto folks, corporate professionals, and business owners.
This is a Government of Sikkim initiative to test a simple idea:
What happens when 20 brilliant people live together in a remote organic village with blazing fast internet, deep nature, and intentional routines?
We believe the answer is: meaningful collaboration, wild ideas, and lifelong connections.
🌄 A Day in Yakten
Each day follows a rhythm designed to nurture both the mind and the body:
Morning Rituals
7:00 – 9:00 AM:
Morning Walks and Hikes through serene forest trails that start from Yakten Village (no wild animals, just birdsong and biodiversity)
or
Stay back for guided yoga.
9:00 – 10:30 AM:
Hearty local breakfast across different kitchens, followed by freshening up.
Deep Work & Dialogue (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
This is your focused contribution window at the co-working and mentorship block. Use the time to welcome local budding entrepreneurs, giving them a chance to learn from you and opening doors for genuine cross-pollination.
The goal is to unblock their challenges to move their projects forward, and create pathways of guidance that last beyond the residency.
Expect guest talks, lightning sessions by fellow residents, and intimate fireside AMAs with mentors.
Our three on-site mentors will be present throughout helping you spot talent & opportunities, and refine your steps with clarity and purpose.
Cultural Lunch ( 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM )
Lunch is spread across 8 village kitchens, each preparing small, home-style meals. Each morning, you can explore the day’s menus and choose where to eat. Think of it as your culinary exploration hour.
Siesta + Sunset Shift ( 2:00 – 4:00 PM )
Rest. Nap. Read. Wander.
Evening Wind Down and Reflection ( 4:00 – 6:00 PM )
As the sun sets, we come together for a slow, intentional gathering - over local drinks, gentle music, and shared reflection. This is a time for workshops, guided by our resident facilitator to nurture rhythm and cohesion within the group.
Feedback from these circles will directly shape the flow of the following day, ensuring the residency stays responsive and participant-driven.
On select evenings, we’ll also step out for village walks and family visits - meeting local people, exploring their stories, and understanding the emerging business opportunities in villages around Yakten.
Slow dinners, intentional conversations ( 6:30 – 8:00 PM )
We gather for slow dinners and intentional conversations, letting the day ease into night. Some evenings turn festive with music, dance, barbecues, or bonfires under the stars.
And on our favorite nights, we roll up our sleeves together for a momo-making session, shaping, steaming, and sharing them as a family.
Lights out by 8:30 PM. Yaakten sleeps early. That’s how we rise early, too.

Throughout the week, expect surprise guests, idea exchanges, demo nights, or collaborations that don’t feel forced — just flow.
This isn’t a bootcamp. It’s a fertile lab for those who build, reflect, and move with intention.
💰 Program Fee:
₹25,000 +18% GST / participant in Private rooms
₹18,000 +18% GST / participant in Twin sharing rooms (Shared with one fellow resident)
This covers everything for the full 7 days:
Pick-up and drop from Bagdogra Airport / Siliguri
Stay in your selected room.
