Salem | Claude Code Setup with the League of Extraodinary Engineers
League of Extraordinary Engineers
What if you could build a website, system, app by just describing what you want?
Claude Code is a tool that turns plain English into working software. You type what you want, it writes the code. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll set it up, build something real, and have a live link to share — all in under an hour.
What you'll do:
→ Set up Claude Code on your laptop (we'll walk you through every step)
→ Build your first project by describing it in everyday language
→ Learn how to review what it creates and ask for changes
→ Put your project online with a shareable link before you leave
→ Learn the do's and don'ts so you get better results every time
No coding experience needed. Seriously. This workshop is designed for complete beginners. If you can type a sentence, you can build with Claude Code. We'll have helpers in the room to make sure nobody gets stuck.
What to bring: • A laptop (Mac, Windows, or Linux all work) • That's it — we'll help you set up everything else at the start of class.
NOTE: this is a free event and as it's at Venti's Beer Vault, it's 21+ only and we ask that you purchase food and/or a beverage.
This is Class 1 of the LOEE Vibe Coding Series. Perfect starting point. No previous classes required.
