What Remains: The Art of Entropy Solo Exhibition
What Remains: The Art of Entropy
"What Remains" is an immersive art installation by Entropy that explores themes of inheritance, identity, resilience, and transformation through painting, sculpture, and found objects.
Spread across two historic rooms, the installation invites visitors to move through a symbolic landscape populated by ravens, fractured mirrors, spores, butterflies, and relics of memory. Drawing on fairytales, mythology, motherhood, and personal narratives, the work considers what survives after systems of identity fracture and how new possibilities emerge from loss and change.
Visitors are encouraged to experience the installation at their own pace, exploring the connections between the artworks and the architectural features of the space. Together, the pieces create a contemplative environment that reflects on resilience, healing, and the stories we carry forward.
Open to the public June 27 & 28 from 11 AM to 5 PM.
About the Artist
Entropy (Bianca Nandzik) is a New York–based artist working across painting, sculpture, installation, and community art. Drawing from mythology, fairytales, environmental themes, and personal narratives, she creates symbolic worlds that explore transformation, resilience, identity, and the relationship between humans and nature.
With a background in social work, art therapy, and a PhD in art education, Entropy has spent more than two decades creating community murals and public artworks throughout Europe, the United States, and Latin America. Her community-based practice has included projects in schools, hospitals, libraries, and with incarcerated individuals. Alongside her studio practice, she creates visual artwork and animated backdrops for opera productions.
Through layered imagery and storytelling, she invites viewers to reflect on what survives, what changes, and what new possibilities emerge from moments of fracture and renewal.
