YPE Mentorship Program Kickoff

​To officially launch the YPE SF Bay Area 2026 Mentorship Program, we are hosting our kick-off event at the Ava Community Energy office. This session is designed to provide the 2026 cohort with the necessary roadmap for the year ahead and to facilitate connections within the local energy community.

​Please only RSVP if you have been accepted into the 2026 Mentorship Program and are planning to attend in person!

​What the Evening Will Include:

• ​Program Roadmap: A walkthrough of the 2026 program information and resources.

• ​Success Strategies: Practical insights and stories from past participants on how to navigate a successful mentorship.

• ​Community Connections: An opportunity to meet other professionals in the cohort and the YPE leadership team.

​Agenda:

• ​5:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Check-in and Networking (Food & drinks provided)

• ​6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Formal Program & Presentation

• ​7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Closing Networking

• ​8:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Optional Social

  • ​After we wrap up at Ava, we will head over to Two Pitchers Brewing to keep the conversations going!

​Attendance & Logistics

• ​In-Person Attendance: If you are local to the Bay Area, we strongly encourage you to attend the 6:00 PM presentation in person to ensure you have all the resources needed for a successful cycle. Please RSVP by May 1st for catering needs.

• ​Virtual Option: For those unable to join us in person, a Zoom link for the 6:00 PM presentation will be emailed directly to the cohort. (Please do not RSVP on Luma if you plan to attend virtually)

• ​Transportation: The Ava Community Energy office is near the Uptown transit center + 19th Street BART, with lots of street parking around the office.

  • ​For those driving and riding bikes, parking will be validated in the garage (entrance through the Harrison St) as long as you park before 6 pm! If arriving after, elect for street parking.

    • ​No bikes are allowed in the building lobby.

  • ​If you do park in the garage, please make sure to remove your car from the garage before heading over to the after-event social.

• ​Building Access: The lobby doors "lock" at 6:00 PM. We recommend arriving before 6 pm; a YPE volunteer can let you in for folks running behind.
