About Event

Small Hassles Court is a digital game where players practice different approaches to interpersonal conflict resolution and self-governance.

This project is part of a broader Plot Twisters project, which since 2020 has been developing Twisterland, an online game world fostering self-reflection and emotional literacy through therapeutic minigames. Our design collective, made up of mostly women and POC from diverse walks of life, identity backgrounds, and skill sets, has spent five years conducting trauma-informed and interdisciplinary research, developing concept art, and designing game mechanics. The team includes: Jenny Liu Zhang (Digital Artist), Amanda Nicole Curtis (Speculative Digital Ethnographer), and Joanna Rivera-Carlisle (Digital Governance Engineer).

Join Metagov's Playtester Community! These weekly calls will be opportunities for folks from the Metagov Community to playest the Small Hassles Court mini-game and get to know the fellowship team.

About Community Calls: Metagov Community Calls are informal discussion-based, peer-learning, or tool play-test calls that can be proposed, hosted, and facilitated by any member of the Metagov community.

The format may vary according to whether the call is a group discussion or a tool play-test; however, a standard format might entail a ~10 minute introduction to the topic by the host followed by the group discussion (based on 3-5 questions prepared by the host) or play-test experience. Check out this guide for how to Propose & Host a Community Call: https://metagov.pubpub.org/pub/0s838ukp/release/1
