This edition's workshop will be delivered to you by Chandler Martin on the topic of Intentionality in tech usage: Preventing digital fatigue in the era of always-on digital culture, AI, and tech overload

With smartphones and so many tech tools at our fingertips, we have more ways than ever to collaborate, build, and stay connected. But at the same time, our day-to-day operating environments are more chaotic than ever, filled with digital noise that saps our productivity and distances us from our purpose.

How might we as individuals and leaders protect our attention, our calendars, our well-being, and our boundaries so that we–and the work we engage in–flourish?

This interactive workshop will invite a discussion on the topic of intentionality in the face of tech overwhelm and consider ways to think about online habits and boundaries in the digital age.

Participants will leave the session with concrete steps they can take to manage their attention more sustainably and stay focused on what matters.

Chandler is a lecturer in international business, an impact entrepreneur, and researcher. She teaches go-to-market and startup strategy in various sustainability-focused startup support programs across Europe and supports entrepreneurs as the programs' go-to-market expert and mentor. She has been a marketing lecturer at the University of San Diego, Unknown University, and others, and is a frequent speaker on topics of social impact and systems change. Her research work involves analyzing market trends and best practices in go-to-market.

Prior to that, she worked in international affairs, focusing on entrepreneurship, sustainable development and financial inclusion in Latin America, with a particular focus on US-Cuba cooperation.

She holds an International MBA from the University of San Diego, a M.Sc. in Marketing from EGADE Business School - Tec de Monterrey (Mexico) and a B.A in Political Science and Latin American studies from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

About our open desk experts:

Augaly Kiedi is a senior expert in fundraising. She is both member of We Are Changemakers and The Hague Humanity Hub.

On Changemakers' Friday Augaly will be running an Open Desk on funding for early-stage companies.

Sina Tahoori, Technical Advisor from Xanboor, is offering simple, practical, and founder-friendly technical support to our impact-driven startups. Many founders have strong visions and clear customer strategies but often get stuck on the technical side and struggle choosing the right technology, designing reliable software, building or improving web and mobile apps, and ensuring their product is scalable and accessible.

On Changemakers' Friday, Sina will be running an Open Desk for technical help and advice. Founders are welcome to drop by for practical guidance on software architecture, tech decisions, development, or any other technical challenges.

What does success look like when our main goal is not profit or growth but contributing to a better world? When can we confidently say that what we did made a meaningful difference? These are the questions Laura de Franchis works on. As a senior expert from The Alternatives Factory, she defines and assesses results for purpose-driven people and organisations. On Changemakers' Friday, Laura will run an Open Desk to help founders define what success looks like for their initiative, map out how to get there (sometimes called a theory of change), and plan how to track the change along the way.
Laura brings 20 years of experience in results monitoring, evaluation and theories of change for non-profits ranging from local NGOs to large humanitarian UN organisations. Founders are welcome to drop by with whatever they are wrestling with: a definition of success that does not yet feel right, a theory of change to pressure-test, or a funder asking for evidence of impact.

Changemakers' Friday is organised in partnership with The Hague Humanity Hub, which hosts the in-person programme and connects participants to The Hague’s peace and justice impact ecosystem.

Take care!
