Suya And Vibes: A Vibe Coding Workshop For The Diaspora Powered By Lovable
Come hungry. Leave ready to build.
Suya & Vibes is a hands-on AI building workshop for members of the African diaspora and allies who want to turn ideas, projects, and problems into something clearer, sharper, and more buildable.
Hosted in partnership with Lovable, this workshop is designed to help emerging builders move from “I have an idea” to “I know what to build next” using AI-assisted tools, guided prompts, and community-centered product thinking.
This is not a panel.
This is not a networking event with laptops as decoration.
This is not tech gatekeeping in a cute outfit.
This is a focused, beginner-friendly build room.
Over two hours, we’ll walk through a practical vibe coding process for using AI tools to clarify your idea, shape your next step, and create useful prompts you can keep building with after the event.
Bring a messy app idea, business problem, creative project, or “somebody should build this” thought. You’ll leave with clearer direction, practical prompts, and a next-step plan.
Expect good food, community, guided building, and a room full of people who are ready to stop overthinking and start making.
Who this is for
This workshop is for creatives, founders, students, technologists, emerging builders, and allies who are curious about using AI to create digital products, apps, workflows, tools, or experiments.
You do not need to be a software engineer.
You do not need a polished idea.
You do not need to know how to code.
You just need curiosity, a laptop, and something you want to explore.
What you’ll leave with
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have:
A clearer version of your idea, project, or problem
A better understanding of how vibe coding works
Practical AI prompts you can reuse
A simple next-step plan
New connections with other diaspora builders and creatives
A stronger sense that building with AI is something you’re allowed to do, too
