Curious about AI safety? Come meet the Wisconsin AI Safety Initiative (WAISI), UW–Madison's student organization for AI safety research, policy, and reading groups.
This is our first general meeting of the semester and the best place to start if you are new. In one hour you will:
Hear what AI safety is and why students at UW–Madison work on it
Meet the team and current members
Learn about our fall programs, including the Technical and Policy Fundamentals fellowships (applications open Sept 11)
Find out how to get involved this semester, whatever your background
Food will be provided. No AI or CS background is needed. Everyone is welcome.
