About Event

AI and children's safety online

A breakfast roundtable on the regulatory landscape, platform responsibility, and the technology that exists today.

The scale of the problem
Every 101 seconds a report of child sexual abuse imagery is confirmed online.

  • 451,250 reports assessed in 2025

  • 311,610 confirmed as CSAM

  • 260× rise in AI-generated CSAM

Internet Watch Foundation, Annual Data & Insights Report 2025

Why this room?

Children are growing up inside a world being rebuilt by AI, and the risks are scaling faster than the safeguards.

Tuteliq and Microsoft convene this space with twenty people on-site (and more online) for three hours: regulators, platform trust and safety leads, compliance officers, researchers and press, in the same room and on the record with each other.

No panel, no pitch. A working table with breakfast where evidence settles the debate, and where we leave with something each of us has committed to do next.

Agenda and pillars

01 - The regulatory landscape

The DSA, the EU CSAM proposal, KOSA and the UK Online Safety Act converge on one demand: prove you detect harm. What is enforceable now, and what lands next.

02 - Platform responsibility

Where duty of care actually sits between platform, host, model provider and app store, and why moderation that looks the part protects risk, not children.

03 - Existing technology

Grooming is not a word, it is a behaviour. What behavioural detection, age assurance and synthetic-media analysis can do today: measured, benchmarked, honest about the gaps.
