Supercharging community climate action in London
Londoners are leading the change on climate.
From community gardens to retrofit schemes, energy co-ops to youth-led campaigns, grassroots climate action is happening in every borough. But too often these efforts go unrecognised, under-resourced, and unconnected.
On 24th June, the London Climate and Sustainability Commission is bringing together the city's climate community for an afternoon of connection, honest conversation and collaboration. We'll hear from the organisations already driving change from the ground up, and dig into what's getting in the way of more of it. There will be networking from 5.15pm.
Whether you're running a local initiative or trying to figure out how to start one, this event is for you.
Join us during London Climate Action Week to celebrate how far the city's climate community has come, and to supercharge what comes next.

What to expect:
Keynote speakers: Hear from leaders and grassroots organisations who are already driving climate action in their communities: what they're doing, what's working, and what's getting in the way.
Interactive workshops: In facilitated small groups, you'll map the challenges and opportunities facing London's climate community; and help shape the recommendations that the Commission takes forward. Come ready to share your experience and hear from others doing similar work across the city.
Map the city: Help us build a living picture of London's climate ecosystem. You'll have the chance to plot your initiative alongside others, see where action is thriving, spot the gaps, and find your neighbours in this movement.
Networking and drinks: From 5.15pm, there will be space to continue the conversations, make new connections, and celebrate the breadth and depth of what London's community climate movement is already achieving.
Please arrive from 1.45pm for a prompt 2pm start.
