Desi’s Got Latent: A Live Comedy Talent Show in Toronto
Back after multiple sold-out shows! Perform, join the panel, or sit back and watch as Desi’s Got Latent returns to Toronto for two shows.
DESI’S GOT LATENT IS BACK 🎤
And this time, we’re doing it twice in one night.
After our previous Desi’s Got Latent shows sold out, Dhama Productions is bringing the chaos back to Toronto on Saturday, October 17.
TALENT? CONFIDENCE? DELUSION?
We’ll find out live.
Desi’s Got Latent is not your typical Toronto comedy show.
Part stand-up comedy.
Part talent show.
Part panel roast.
Part social experiment.
And occasionally…
something we genuinely have no category for.
Real people get on stage and show us what they’ve got.
Maybe it’s:
🎤 Stand-up comedy
🎶 Singing
🎭 Mimicry & impressions
📝 Poetry or storytelling
🎸 Music
🕺 Performance
🤹 A weirdly specific hidden talent
❓ Something none of us expected
Then our comedy panel reacts, questions, comments and occasionally wonders how we all ended up here.
No retakes.
No editing.
No hiding behind a screen.
It all happens live.
THREE WAYS TO EXPERIENCE THE SHOW
This time, you can choose how close you want to get to the chaos.
1. PERFORMER TICKET
Think you’ve got something worth putting on stage?
This is your ticket.
Bring your talent, your confidence or your completely unjustified belief that the audience needs to see what you can do.
Stand-up.
Singing.
Storytelling.
Impressions.
Poetry.
Music.
Something bizarre.
We’re listening.
Performer spots are limited, so if you want to take the stage, book the appropriate performer ticket.
2. PANELIST TICKET
Maybe performing isn’t your thing.
Maybe having opinions about people who perform is.
Even better.
Panelist tickets let you experience the show from the other side.
React.
Ask questions.
Give your take.
Join the conversation.
And possibly make some decisions you’ll later have to defend.
If you’ve ever watched a talent show from your couch and thought:
“I could judge this better.”
Here’s your chance.
3. AUDIENCE TICKET
Want absolutely none of that responsibility?
Perfect.
Grab an audience ticket, get comfortable and watch the madness unfold.
You laugh.
You react.
You judge silently.
Or not so silently.
You become part of the energy without having to explain your hidden talent to anybody.
For most people, this is probably the safest option.
THE PANEL
The panel isn’t there to sit quietly and give polite applause.
Expect:
Opinions.
Questions.
Roasts.
Reactions.
Unexpected follow-ups.
And the occasional:
“Wait… why are you like this?”
It’s the interaction between the performers, panel and audience that makes Desi’s Got Latent different every single time.
No two shows are the same.
We genuinely don’t know exactly what’s going to happen.
That’s the point.
WHY PEOPLE KEEP COMING BACK
Our previous Latent shows have sold out, and we’ve learned something:
People really enjoy watching other people confidently do unpredictable things in public.
Who knew?
Some performers are genuinely talented.
Some are hilarious.
Some surprise everyone.
And some make us redefine the word talent entirely.
But the best part is that the room experiences it together.
You’re not just watching another stand-up set.
You’re watching something happen in real time.
