About Event

What actually separates an AI agent from a chatbot?

This week we answer that -- then prove it by building one.

By the end of the session you'll have OpenClaw installed, the Gateway running, and a personal AI agent on your own machine that you can message straight from your phone. No prior AI or agent experience needed -- this is the on-ramp.

We'll cover OpenClaw's three-layer architecture (channel → brain → body), get everyone past install triage, connect a chat channel, and put the agent to work on real tasks -- reading files, summarizing docs, running shell commands -- with the safety basics baked in from minute one.

You walk away with: a running, phone-reachable agent that's yours.

🛠 Bring a laptop (macOS/Linux/Windows), Node 24 (or 22.19+ LTS -- we'll install it together), and an LLM API key (or use free OpenRouter models). Terminal comfort is enough.
