Choreographing Encounters with Rana Rmeily, TheLoveTriangle
What if the deliverable of experience design were not a space, but a choreography?
An encounter is a body meeting a story, in a space, at a moment. Not a collection of media and objects. A moment perceived as a whole. That is the thing experience design is actually trying to make.
Rana Rmeily, co-founder of the scenography studio TheLoveTriangle (Stuttgart · Dubai), shares the method at the center of the studio's practice: the Score. Drawn from theatre and Moholy-Nagy's 1924 Bauhaus score sketch, it puts every layer of an experience into one visual field across space and time, so you can read the emotional arc. How it builds, shifts, intensifies, pauses and resonates.
Rana rebuilds three encounters, each asking something different of the body. Lying down in a rainforest at Forest Bathing, Lupuna (with Marshmallow Laser Feast). Walking twenty-one civilizations along one river in Timewalk (DEM Museums). Weaving alongside artisans at The Thread That Binds (Design Doha), where the Score runs over weeks, not minutes.
Presentation followed by an intimate Q&A.
About Rana
Rana Rmeily is Co-Founder and Creative Director of TheLoveTriangle Collective. Trained as an experiential visual designer, she works where visual design, digital design and scenography meet, choreographing encounters between people, space and story.
Rana treats exhibitions as performative systems, not static displays. Her question is how scenography can shape perception in the body, direct movement and build meaning over time.
She has spent 13 years in exhibition design. As Associate Partner at Atelier Brückner she worked on the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, the Museum of the Future in Dubai and the Nobel Prize Temporary Exhibitions in Dubai. At TheLoveTriangle Collective she has led ICOM Dubai, Al Fahidi Fort Museum, the Porsche Museum and the Design Doha Biennale.
