My First Voice AI Agent With Rasa
Last time, we showed you a recorded demo of an agent built with skills and the new Rasa. This time we build one together, live, from an empty folder.
Whether you have registered for the Rasa Heroes program or are still curious about it, you are welcome to join and build along.
What we do in the session
We start from installation and end with a working voice agent you can talk to.
Install the package and set up your first project
Write your first skill
Add a control lever where it matters
Bring the agent to voice and have a conversation with it
Where things can break, and what to do about it
We keep it hands-on, so have your terminal ready. If you fall behind, the repository and the recording will be available afterwards.
What you will need
Python and a terminal
An LLM API key of your own (OpenAI or Anthropic)
A Rasa Pro licence key — request one here: https://rasa.com/rasa-pro-developer-edition-license-key-request
No prior Rasa experience is required.
Who this is for
Practitioners who have been with Rasa for a long time and want to see what has changed, and builders who are new to us and want to know what it takes to get a voice agent running.
After the session
Our first cohort of Rasa Heroes runs until the first week of September. Participants build and publish their results. We will be in Discord throughout, alongside further live sessions.
