ski (touring!) trip - 4 days in deep snow & tech
Hi deep snow & tech enthusiasts!
We’re putting together a 4-day ski touring adventure in the French Parc de la Vanoise - one of the Alps’ best playgrounds for ski de rando!!
🗓 Dates: March 2026 - 12th to the 15th (just 4 days, over the weekend)
👥 8 to 16 people max (1 to 2 mountain guides respectively). Curated group of deeptech enthusiasts with scientists, founders, investors ... but broadly anyone who loves mountains, powder, and good company!
Logistics are (you can find all details in the attached leaflet just above)
We'll board the 06h45 TGV from Paris Gare de Lyon, step off at Albertville at 10h38 where our mini bus & guide will be waiting.
1h road, then we put our skis & skins - and we start climbing up to the cozy Refuge du Roc (one of the absolute nicest there is, sauna + chef-made dinners!). We'll stay at this same refuge every night so can leave our stuff there.
1 day = 1 peaks. +/-1000m uphill climbs and fresh powder descents. We're actually skiing on the 1st day (for a few hours, just the ascent to the refuge), the 2nd day (the full day), the 3rd (the full day) and the 4th (just a couple of hours but then we go down to take our trains back). The whole itinerary is « star-shaped », meaning we only have 1 base, the refuge, and so can leave stuff there on D2 and D3. Only D1 and D4 do we have to carry our big backpacks.
Every night you can chill, sauna, play board games and/or have casual discussions about life (and work if you want but not recommended!)
After 4 days of fresh air, we target the 17h22 TGV to Paris, back by 22h11!
⚠️ Please note that it is strongly recommended to have done some ski touring prior, and being comfortable doing 800m+ climbs per day. Descents will be nice, not too physical.
Costs:
800€ for accommodation, our mountain guide & food.
+ train tickets (on average 200 euros at this period back & forth)
+ 153€ for renting the boots and skis and skins (see the leaflet)
No profit, just the prices from the agency!
