(David) started this group back in Feb 2025 and it’s really come to life. Thank you David - he’s now traveling lots for work and I (Katharina 👋) have taken over so this awesome community keeps on living!
We both love the “serendipitous encounter" .. when you bump into someone unexpected, chat for 5-10 mins, discover a mutual interest or opportunity.
This run club started off as a social connectivity hack/experiment Goal: gather a group of interesting people together 7am every Thursday, rain or shine, for a jog around the Westhaven Marina.
The experiment exceeded expectations! It’s turned out to be one of the highlights of my week. So many interesting people and chats, igniting a real fire of energy.
Pretty straight forward gameplan:
meet at the Buoy Cafe at 7am.
Kickstart at 7:05am sharp.
Jog around the Westhaven Marina somewhere (open to recommendations otherwise), aiming for 5km. Chill, conversational pace.
Grab a quick cuppa after ☕️ at Lighthouse Cafe
I'll add everyone to a WhatsApp thread so we can stay in touch + remember to bring a friend to future runs.
