About Event

VC data flows from everywhere - from unstructured WhatsApp chats to confidential portfolio reports. Keeping control over how that data is captured, protected, and stored is far from simple - especially when vendor lock-in makes upgrading or switching tools feel like a risk to your historical memory.

Together with Victor Espinet, Founder at Vespan, we’ll unpack what to look out for when selecting and connecting your tools:

🔵 Ingesting the Chaos: How to handle raw signals sitting outside your CRM- like web intake forms, inboxes, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn - before they get lost or fragmented.

🔵 Leverage vs. Privacy: Feeding data into LLMs and AI models without compromising sensitive portfolio metrics.

🔵 Portability & True Ownership: When switching tools, do you keep your fund’s collective memory or just raw CSVs? How historical CRM dynamics and AI insight layers get trapped in vendor lock-in, and how to avoid it.

Join us for a practical conversation on what to watch out for when selecting and connecting your VC tech tools.

About Victor:

Victor Espinet co-founded Edda, a dealflow and portfolio management platform used by more than 150 funds across 40 countries. Ten years as VP of Engineering there meant building the product, running custom integration projects, and living inside the data funds actually run on. Today he runs Vespan, where he gives funds their time back by automating their operational workflows, front to back office, on top of the tools they already use.

The research behind the conversation

This webinar was inspired by the VC Tech Stack Pulse 2026 - a study by AGX, Venture Connections and European Women in VC surveying 250+ venture professionals across $80B in AUM to understand how VC firms actually use technology to run their operations.

The findings revealed a highly fragmented landscape, with 180+ different tools in use, and significant gaps between what funds want to automate and what their current technology enables.

The result is an independent, unsponsored snapshot of the tools, decisions, and gaps shaping modern fund operations.
