Human Verification vs. AI Fraud:An Unwinnable Battle? ČEFTAS
WORKHSOP NAŠEHO ČLENA IPROOV POD ZÁŠTITOU ČEFTAS
Presentation of future-proof means of remote identification In the early 2010s, video identification enabled remote onboarding, opening up a world of digital services. The approach successfully identified users and prevented presentation attacks: fraudsters wearing masks or holding up images to the screen.
Times have changed. Injected deepfakes, beyond human perceptibility, are now the most dangerous and scalable threat to remote identity systems. The presentation will explore the issues with using human verifiers or hybrid models where humans make the final decision. We explain why biometric face verification with liveness detection, managed by expert human oversight, is the more secure, usable, and scalable solution for remote identity verification.
