Reading Rhythms "Books-giving" Book Swap and Donation Drive in Midtown: November 17th

​Let's have a little Thanksgiving related fun - Books-giving! And as the name might indicate, it seems like a great time of year to give books! Both to each other and to a good cause.

​Books-giving will involve a book exchange in person between all attendees who want to participate, with no need to wrap the books for this book swap. Please bring one book designated for this swap if you would like to join in! There will also be a book donation component for optional participation, as well. Do you have any books in good condition that you would like to donate to the good people of Housing Works? Bring them on over with you and your Chapter Lead, Claire, will take the results of our little drive to Housing Works the following day! (If you bring multiple books to donate, please bring them in a disposable box or bag that Claire can use to carry them!)

​Hotel Alameda's lobby bar area is accessible, however its back garden area has several stairs required to access it. Alameda has a bar that offers alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and a food menu, from which orders can be placed at the bar. These food and drink options are not included with your Reading Rhythms ticket and must be purchased separately.

​"Doors" for our reading party open at 6:30pm, and our official proceedings begin a few minutes before 7pm, and the event concludes at 9pm.

​Reading Rhythms is a series of welcoming reading parties designed to make it easy for people to gather and read socially. We invite you to bring any book you want and facilitate silent reading periods, as well as 1-on-1 breakouts, and group discussions to pull on the threads of the books that everyone is engaging with.
