​Tom is best known for his transformative role as the Chief Financial Officer of Dell during its meteoric rise in the 1990s. With a career spanning more than 35 years, Meredith has earned a reputation as a "velocity" evangelist—a leader who balances aggressive growth with rigorous management of liquidity and profitability. 

​Currently, Tom serves as a Partner at Brightstar Capital Partners, where he leverages decades of operational experience to drive value across a diverse portfolio including ReMarkets, Likewize, Brightcell, Circuit AI, and Cycorp.

​Tom and his wife, Lynn, are also renowned philanthropists and have been named "Austinites of the Year" and received the Harvey Penick Award for Excellence in the Game of Life. He is a passionate advocate for the intersection of technology and human welfare, serving on the board of Findhelp, the nation’s leading social safety network. He is currently focusing on how Agentic AI and data-driven insights can mitigate disparities in healthcare quality, cost, and coverage—particularly in underserved rural communities.
