Winning Beyond the Workplace: Union Lessons for Progressive Campaigns @ THE CAMPAIGN FRINGE
This session is part of The Campaign Fringe, an all-day gathering of progressive campaigners and experts exploring bold ideas, practical tools, and best practice.
Held on September 29th at the Camp and Furnace Liverpool, The Campaign Fringe is where effective campaigners share what works. Find out more here: https://lu.ma/rpu1av03
In this session, speakers from across the union movement will share the innovative they've strategies, tools and tactics they have used to win.
Rather than being oriented around election cycles, union campaigning demands year round organising to deliver concrete wins for their members. To succeed, unions must look beyond committed activists, bringing together members who may not see themselves as political and mobilising them to fight for shared interests. From securing hyperlocal support within communities to leveraging technology to build solidarity across the country, unions are innovating to build winning coalitions that deliver results; join us for a panel exploring what the wider movement can learn from their experiences.
