Ziggy and Miles: Album Fundraiser Event
Come join and support acclaimed classical guitarist brothers and American Australian Association scholar alumni, Ziggy and Miles, as they invite you to be a part of their upcoming album.
As winners of the 2023 Young Concert Artists (YCA) Susan Wadsworth Auditions, Ziggy and Miles are in demand concert artists, who in the past year have performed across the US in major concert venues including The Kennedy Center in D.C, NYC's Merkin Hall, and Boston's Jordan Hall. They have used this opportunity to support Australian music by performing the US premieres of works by Australian composers including Nigel Westlake, Phillip Houghton, and Ken Murray.
This remarkable record will be a musical exploration of the diverse Australian experience in all of its complex, beautiful, and eclectic nature, featuring almost entirely premiere recordings. Highlights include two significant new commissions by celebrated composers Elena Kats-Chernin and fellow American Australian Association scholarship alumnus Michael Grebla. Guests will enjoy an exclusive first listen to selections from the album, performed live by Ziggy and Miles before its official release.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to be part of a milestone moment in Australian classical music, enjoy a glass of wine and light bites, and hear these extraordinary works brought to life by two of the country’s most exciting young artists against the backdrop of the New York City skyline. People who donate will receive early access to the album and other incredible perks!
All donations received during the event are fully tax-deductible and will assist with production and recording costs of the album.
