Container Install Meetup
The Containerization Framework and container tooling projects enable developers to create and run Linux container images directly on their Mac, with a strong focus on security and privacy.
This session introduces the container CLI tool and how it uses Containerization to deliver simple yet powerful functionality for building, running and deploying Linux containers on Mac. We'll present the architecture, why the team chose Swift for both the framework and tool, and the open source community.
We will close with a hands-on walkthrough of getting up and running with the container project, so bring your laptop!
Prerequisites: A Mac with Apple silicon, running macOS 26 and Xcode 26. Details in the project README: https://github.com/apple/container/blob/main/README.md#requirements
Lunch will be provided onsite.
