Our co-host, The University of Tokyo IPC, is a venture investment firm wholly owned by the University of Tokyo. Focused on investing in and supporting the commercialization of academia-originated startups, UTokyo IPC manages multiple funds totaling nearly JPY 60 billion. It also operates “1stRound,” one of Japan’s largest cross-academic startup growth programs, in collaboration with 22 universities and 5 research institutions. Through fostering globally competitive startups and building a robust ecosystem, UTokyo IPC is committed to strengthening Japan’s industrial competitiveness on the world stage.

We are also honored to have Mori Building, one of Japan’s leading urban developers—known for landmark large-scale mixed-use projects such as Roppongi Hills, Toranomon Hills, and Azabudai Hills—as a sponsor.

Join us for this YC-affiliated hackathon, powered by Transpose Platform, UTokyo IPC, and Mori Building. We look forward to your participation.
