About Doug Tallamy
Doug Tallamy is the T. A. Baker Professor of Agriculture in the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware. He has authored over 116 research publications and taught insect-related courses for 45 years.
Tallamy’s work explores the ways insects interact with plants and how these relationships sustain animal diversity. His books include:

In 2021, he co-founded Homegrown National Park with Michelle Alfandari to promote grassroots restoration of biodiversity. He has been recognized by Audubon, The National Wildlife Federation, The Garden Club of America, and the American Horticultural Association, among many others.
