Join us for a lunchtime conversation exploring how healthcare ideas move from clinical insight to real-world impact. Pizza generously provided by Ian's!
Sean McCormick, MD, CEO of Madison-based startup Atrility, will share his journey from practicing physician and clinical informatics leader at Epic to healthcare startup founder. He’ll discuss the realities of building new healthcare technologies and navigating the path from medicine to entrepreneurship.
Elizabeth Hagerman, PhD, Chief Innovation Officer at UW Health and Executive Director of the Isthmus Project, will discuss how healthcare systems evaluate, develop, and commercialize new technologies. She will share insights from her work supporting clinicians, researchers, and entrepreneurs translating ideas into solutions that improve patient care and health system outcomes.
Each speaker will give brief remarks followed by questions and discussion.
Open to medical students, Tech Exploration Lab students, and anyone curious about healthcare innovation and entrepreneurial journeys in medicine.
