Breath Lab by MuLabs
An afternoon of breath in the dome, and a live concert as the sun goes down.
Breath-Lab returns to Kalā for its third edition. This time with music.
DOORS • 3pm
THE BREATHWORK • 4 to 7pm
Alchemy Rewire is rooted in pranayama, the Sanskrit science of breath practised
since 500 BC, working with the bandhas and CO2 elevation drawn from freediving.
You breathe in a guided rhythm, and then you hold. When the urge to breathe arrives, you stay with it rather than escape it. That threshold is where the nervous system moves out of survival and into regulation.
Three hours, guided the whole way. No experience needed.
Opening with blue lotus tea.
Guided by Xico Teixeira — clinical neuropsychologist and neuroscientist, creator of MuLabs and scientific partner of Alchemy Rewire.
THE CONCERT · 7:30 to 9:30pm
As the breathwork closes, one song is sung together. Then the doors open and the concert begins, under the open sky.
Winter Jendayi is a singer, musician and ceremonialist. Her genre, Sacred
World Music, is multilingual song and story, enchanting melody, uplifting rhythm. Over a decade rooted in Indigenous traditions and her ancestral ways of Turtle Island, West Africa and Europe.
Her debut album Hilos Sagrados is on Spotify, with a new EP on the way.
THE ARTISANAL MARKET • from 3pm
THE FOOD MARKET • from 7pm
THE LIGHT EXPERIENCE
Before and after the concert the dome stays open for the light entrainment experience, a short guided programme in small groups. Free to try, sign up on the day.
A live experience by Alchemy Rewire × MuLabs × Winter Jendayi, held at Kalā.
